Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a third-person action game with a focus on stealth and the final game in the Metal Gear series. Canonically it is the fifth game in the series, but it is the eleventh main installment overall. It is the sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes released the year before and a prequel to the original Metal Gear. The gameplay borrows and expands upon most of the mechanics introduced in Ground Zeroes, which was a smaller slice in content in anticipation of this title. The game is set in 1984 with Big Boss also known as Punished "Venom" Snake as the protagonist. It takes place in Afghanistan and the border between Angola and Zaire as Big Boss seeks revenge against the Cipher group led by Skull Face who destroyed his forces and almost killed him in Ground Zeroes. At the start of the game he wakes up in a military hospital in Cyprus and is almost immediately attacked by soldiers and a strange, burning creature. The Best of the Absolute bunch!

What makes this Absolute title work so well is that, despite some reworkings this comic is still 100% Wonder Woman, both in tone and story structure!
Don’t get me wrong, I like Ab Batman and Superman but I love this comic! Best Wonder Woman in years!

Diana remains true to her Core!

A truly unique take on the Amazon Princess with stunning visuals, beautiful art and throughly engrossing story. I most appreciate seeing the character of Diana remaining firm even when all the circumstances of her life have changed. Highly recommend to both the new reader and the longtime fan that would enjoy a fresh take on an old friend.

Loved it!!! I’ve always been a WW fan, and this take shows a side of her that’s both empowering and fierce. The storytelling feels bold and modern without losing what makes her iconic. Great take on Wonder Woman

The book arrived in perfect condition. The packaging was secure, and there were no dents, creases, or scratches on the cover or pages. This volume is a fantastic addition to the Wonder Woman mythos, with Kelly Thompson bringing a fresh take on Wonder Woman while still respecting everything that makes the character iconic. The artwork deserves just as much praise with the colorful hell aesthetic.
